VPS Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP)

This AUP (Acceptable Usage Policy) governs the use of XT Servers services. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your service. You will be held responsible for all actions performed by your account whether it be done by you or by others. If server security is compromised, the account holder is responsible for all violations of the TOS and AUP, including SPAM, and all disconnect and reconnect fees associated with violations. The following lists are not all-inclusive. If you have any doubts, please submit a support ticket for clarification.

Examples of NON-ACCEPTABLE content, links, pracices or software

- We DO NOT allow any SPAM or unsolicited Bulk Email: Sending unsolicited bulk and/or commercial information over the Internet is not only harmful because of its negative impact on consumer attitudes toward XT servers, but also because it can overload our network and cause disrupt service to our subscribers. Also, maintaining an open SMTP relay is prohibited. When a complaint is received, we will investigate and suspend the account if it is found to be sending SPAM.
- We DO NOT allow following content: Defamatory, harassing, abusive or threatening language; pirated software; illegal audio or video content (MP3's or others); hacker programs or archives; warez sites; child pornography; phishing sites; lottery and gambling sites; Transmission, storage or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any International Law is prohibited. The client agrees to indemnify and hold XT Servers harmless from any claims resulting from the use of the service that damages the client or any other party.
- We DO NOT allow Nested Virtualization: QEMU, Virtualbox, etc.
- We DO NOT allow Resource Intensive Scripts: Resources like RAM, disk space and monthly traffic are guaranteed through our NO OVERSELLING policy. However there are resources like the I/O, network port or CPU which are shared between clients on a node. We do not allow abusive usage of the shared resources, which could harm the servers or other clients. Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to our servers or customers is strictly prohibited. Examples are some game servers or video streaming platforms.
- We DO NOT allow MAC Addres changes: You are NOT allowed to manually chane the hardware address (MAC) of our servers.
- We DO NOT allow ANY P2P Software: BitTorrent, Kazaa, Transmission, Deluge, uTorrent, rTorrent, etc.
- We DO NOT allow IRC Servers: IRCd, IRCu, PureIRCd, UnrealIRCd, etc.
- We DO NOT allow Host Enumeration, Vulnerability Scanning, Hack Tools: Brute Forcers, Metasploit, Nessus, Nmap, SIP Scanners, etc. We do not allow accessing, illegally or without authorization, computers, accounts or networks belonging to another party, or attempting to penetrate security measures of another individual's system (often known as "hacking"). Wo do not allow network scans of our internat network or any other network outside our system.
- We DO NOT allow DDoS/DoS Scripts: Booters, Packet Flood Scripts, Layer 7 Floods, etc.
- We DO NOT allow TOR (Exit, Relay, or otherwise)/Public Proxies/Public VPN: You may NOT run any public proxy services or any scripts that interface with TOR, including TOR relay, entry, exit and bridge nodes. TOR, public proxies and public VPN's are strictly forbidden and we reserve the right to immediately terminate any account, without warning, found to be running these services.
- We DO NOT allow Coin Mining: Mining digital currency negatively impacts performance due to the high CPU load produced and is affecting all of our customers. You may NOT run any BitCoin related services, this includes any BitCoin derivatives such as LiteCoin, ZeroCoin and any other digital currencies.
- We DO NOT allow Video Streaming/Conversion: You are NOT allowed to host Camfrog servers due to the high frequency of DDOS attacks against CamFrog servers. If found to be running such services your server will be immediately suspended and the server will not be reconnected to the network until such time that you agree to completely remove any and all traces of the offending service, and agree to let us have access to your server to confirm that the content has been completely removed. Any server guilty of a second violation will result in immediate account termination.
- We DO NOT allow *@Home Software: Folding@Home, Hentai@Home, WorldCommunityGrid, etc.

- We DO allow Adult Pornography: Legal adult pornographic content is allowed.
- We DO allow IRC Clients: Irssi, WeeChat, etc.
- We DO allow IRC Bouncers: BNC, ZNC, etc.
- We DO allow IRC Bots: Eggdrop, Willie, Phenny, etc.
- We DO allow Audio Streaming: ShoutCast, IceCast, etc.
- We DO allow Game Servers: Game servers are allowed if they don't produce a high CPU or I/O load.
